VATTATHIL WATERFALLS- KALLADATHANNI,KOLLAM

Vattathil waterfalls is the place where situated near to pallikcal in Kollam district it comes under chadayamangalam grama panchayath, we have started from Kollam it is not displayed in Google map, so we have searched for nearest place kalladathanni

There are 3 routes to reach kalladathanni, we have selected route via paripally through NH47, from NH you have to take left at paripally to pallickal road and again from pallikal you have to take devations

Kalladathanni river 

I love rivers and waterfalls, kalladathanni have been mentioned in Kollam DTPC website, I hope they are arrnageing tourist package to there, at first we have followed the Google map and reached the destination the designation was a dead end and there is no river over there, at last we have decided to get verbal map form locals over there, we have came back to main junction and asked some local's over there they have told that you have passed the way to that waterfall, as per there intpstuctions we have came back to kalladathanni bridge which was the famous place, I know you all are thinking how come it had become famous, yes it was because there one bus has fallen into river and it had taken 20 lives,, near to that there is a mud road towards kalladathanni river, we have got confused  because both side of the road was  rubber plantations may be it will be way to rubber plantations, we have searched for someone who can answer us but didn't find anyone. 

Waterfalls

At last we have found some one in rubber plantation we have drived to there and conformed our way, yes it was we have reached an place with view of river and waterfall together, but again confused with how to reach waterfall, I know well that rivers have 2 nature one is quiet and calm and another one is horribkle , because sometimes if it is raining the rivers will become deadly dangerous in there flow, that speed of water flow can't be controlled by humans if we know swimming also, i have gone back to my memories of my childhood in kallar river in Trivandrum which was my fathers home town, we have searched the way to waterfall at last we have found an wooden bridge made up with two cocunt trees wood, it is bit dangerous to pass through it but I am egar to see the waterfall I have walked through it very nicely. 

We have seen some local peoples bathing over there, we thought they might be very rude but it is really amazing they have came and helped us in understandign danger and safe areas of that river. We have enjoyed our day in natures cool water.

Thanks to DTPC KOLLAM, my friend Mohammed who have accompined me and those unknown local peoples who have given a company to enjoy vattathil waterfalls.

RARE KOLLAM TOURIST PLACE- MARUTHAMALA(MUTTARA)

MARUTHAMALA(MUTTARA)

Maruthamala is one of the rarest tourist place situated in Kollam district under kottarakara region. It was rock hill which will gives the fantastic view of whole kottarakara region, we have been seen the the place in brouchere of DTPC KOLLOM. When searching in internet we are not getting exact locations navigation. At last we have decided for searching muttara, fortunately we have got the location on Google map.

We have bond to place at 2 pm afternoon, the day was very much hot and its very difficult to drive, an ways I am egar to see a the rock mountain in kollam, because I really love to see the hill stations scences. My mind has gone through various hill stations I have been visted. Ponmudi which has been given me cool evenings in rainy season, thenmala and palaruvi waterfalls which has given me wonderful memories of ecotourism and waterfalls, madayipaara which has taken me through various cinema scene. While driving my mind have climbed various hillstations. We have to take deviation to muttara from Kollam kottarakara road at ampalathumkala. Till there road was in good condition and my bike was riding smooth. After that we have turned to muttara road road become little bit danger as it is haing lot of gutters which was gift of kerala, but one the important thing I have seen is we are passing through urban settelements, in both side of roads we can see rubber plantations,mind was something makes us think everytime. My mind have gone through the various issues facing by rubber planters and tapping workers now a days value of rubber have gone down. Rubber planters are in search of deviation of their business.

My friends camera's eye blinked at one of the rubber trees that was giving rubber from it's own body to its owner as a vote of thanks for making them grow like present situation, is it like that sometimes it may be the tears of the tree because of cutting their skin, sometime foolishness. But I want to think like a child and wants to study like a child In matter of nature. Because I love nature more than anything. Again we have started travelling gaining ahead we have seen deviation of road because of road work is in progress, but Google map is not showing any other way. I have really become sad and thought about the way for word, we have searched for some local persons who can guide us to spot. Unfortunately nobody was tsup have become really sad, before this I have faced situation like this once I have gone to jadayupara, because of some renovation works they didn't allowed me inside. Anyways we have decided that we will go forwerd, it was an muddy road where we can see roack metals are placed in sides of road and road was slippery too. We have drived very carefully in fear of falling down. Again I have gained confidence that my vehicle will not cheat me. We have done such as drastic drive on that road and again the road have made us sad because of bridge construction the road has stopped there, suprisngly we have got an deviation road, by going through that road e

We have got an marvellous view of fields of different crops. In one side of the road was empty canal its showing that in older times it have been given water for cultivations, even there is no water in canals also cultivation's are goining on, in really want to appreciate the farmers who wphave never forget the culture of Kerala and still doing the farming, at last we have got an main road and we have reached near an temple. The temple that was made in old infrasture model of temples, opposite to that I can also see an old model house too. In have told my friend that in this year of modernization also there are some villages like this and some houses like this. I have doubted, for what they are maintaining same house, is it because of mataining their cultural heritage or because of property because of property means how come peoples of such a big house in older time become very much poor. If they are poor means why they are not getting help from governmental projects, I have heard that their are lot of projects for village peoples by thinking all these our vehicle has reached muttara, by the time we are in search of one shop for drinking some water. We have found one shop and stopped there I have taken one tea and banana roast it is very tastety to have tea and banana roast from villages because they are making foods in woods, probably foods that were making in old style will be very much tastey, our Google map have stopped working there. We have enquired someone about maruthamala, some people have guided us to maruthamala and warned that its difficult to go there because of this hot climate . we have gone ahead there was a rubber plantation down to that rock hill we have climbed up its fantastic view of greeny kottarakara from the top of the hill

In such a hot climate we are sweating by climbing the rock hill, but the wind that blowed around the hill has made us relaxed and cooled the atmosphere was very much calm and pleasant that makes us happy.what to say moreover than explaing the photos will say the story.

We have climbed down slowly in the evening after enjoying rocks and wind of maruthamala,  definitely it is the one of the place for tourists those who like nature and like those who likes to travel.
